The BiodiverCITY project is designed to speak to urban dwellers at different levels of ecological understanding about their surrounding outdoor environment. This developing program teaches how to ‘see’ and express the story of other living beings who share the same sidewalks, alleys, yards, vacant lots - anywhere that life can take root in a city!
With a smartphone or camera, BiodiverCITY participants can become nature photographers. The program offers workshops for various levels of nature photographers, from the science novice to the ecologist. Once participants have been encouraged in what to look for, why, and how to capture a story, their ability to add to the world biodiversity story is limitless.
